 The Turner School of Construction Management Program

All the classes are held at the Airport Authority offices (former Commuter Terminal)-1st Floor.    
 
The 2016 Fall Session Turner School of Construction Management Training Program for MBE/WBE/SBE construction firms will be presented September 13th, 2016 through November 3rd, 2016. 
Turner Construction is extremely pleased that the San Diego Regional Airport Authority has agreed to partner in this program as well as other firms in the construction industry.
  
The Turner School of Construction Management will begin with a Kick-Off Reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016
Directions to Kick-Off Reception:  From Harbor Drive, turn right onto Winship Lane along Harbor Drive.  Park in the Commuter Terminal Parking Lot.  (Parking will be validated at the Kick-Off Reception)  Enter the Commuter Terminal, and take the elevator to the 2nd floor.  Turn left off the elevator and continue toward the reception desk.  The Kick-off Reception will be located in the Conference Room located across from the reception desk.
 
The classes are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9:00 p.m. beginning Thursday, September 15th, 2016 through Tuesday, November 1st, 2016.  Classes will be held at the San Diego Regional Airport Authority Offices (former Commuter Terminal)-3225 N Harbor Drive-1st Floor.  The program will conclude with a Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016.
 
 
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis (CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD REGISTRATION) with priority consideration given to members of the co-sponsoring organization. There is no cost to participate however, because we normally turn away interested firms, it is important that we have a firm commitment from those who are accepted.  There is a cost for withdrawal after the third class.  Email Vera Howell your registration form at vhowell@tcco.com.

Since 1969, Turner has offered Construction Management Training Programs, benefiting hundreds of M/WBE and SBEs across the U.S. The community affairs initiative was first spearheaded by then chairman Howard Turner who believed that the enhancement of minority and women business development was key in the construction industry.  Turner continues to strongly support the increased representation of M/WBE/SBEs in the industry and has an annual goal of 20 percent utilization of these enterprises in the areas of construction, subcontracting, prime contracting, join venture relationships and goods and services.  Turner Construction Company, the nation’s leading general builder, announced that it awarded over 2,000 contracts totaling over $1 billion to minority and women owned business enterprises (M/WBEs) during 2015. This is the 11th consecutive year that the company has surpassed the milestone of awarding in excess of $1 billion of contracts to M/WBE firms.   Since 2005, on an average annual volume of $6.2 billion, an average volume of approximately $1 billion has been awarded to MWBE firms.
