Doing Business With The San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD)

NOTICE TO ALL CONTRACTORS WISHING TO BID ON SAN DIEGO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ESTIMATED AT ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000) OR OVER
 
Pursuant to California Public Contract Code 201111.6, for all construction contracts awarded as of January 1, 2014, San Diego Unified School District is soliciting prequalification questionnaires from any and all general contractors or subcontractors wishing to submit bids to the District or to a bidding prime contractor. Specifically, all A and B licensed general contractors and all mechanical, electrical and plumbing licensed specialty contractors holding the classifications of C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 and C-46 must be prequalified in order to bid on any District construction project estimated at $1,000,000 or more.
 
All prequalification questionnaires must be verified under oath, are not public documents and shall not be open to public inspection.
 
For contractors wishing to prequalify for a particular project, their completed prequalification questionnaire must be submitted no later than ten (10) days prior to bid opening due date. Questionnaires submitted after the ten day deadline will not be processed. For all timely submittals, District will respond no later than five (5) days prior to bid opening due date with notice of qualification or disqualification to the submitting contractor.
 
Qualification shall be valid for one year from date of initial qualification. Contractors are required to submit a new questionnaire annually at least sixty (60) days prior to the anniversary date of their initial qualification.
