The San Diego Advanced Defense Technologies (SDADT) Cluster is funded under the Small Business Administration's "Innovative Economies" pilot program. The pilot program supports small businesses' participation in regional economic "clusters" – collaborations between small businesses, the public sector, economic development and other organizations.  As one of the three Advanced Defense Technology awardees, the SDADT Cluster will focus on providing business training, counseling, mentoring, matchmaking, and other services to small businesses that focus on critical DoD technologies. The goal of SDADT and its team comprised of partners from the DoD, academia, industry, economic focused non-profits, and prime contractors, is to create new opportunities for local small businesses engaged in the research and development of advanced technologies that may address a DoD requirement and/or fill a capability gap in autonomous systems, cyber security, and C4ISR – Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and other DoD priority technology capability interest areas such as Renewable Energy. With the agreement of the small business, SDADT will provide customized professional business support and services at no cost to the small business to help it initiate or expand its business into the defense marketplace .

Registration is Limited to 25 Small Businesses (2 People per Company) Working in Advanced Defense Technology Area
